Last week the Parish Priest of Attard, Fr. Joe Grech visited the school during assembly. After prayers were said Fr. Joe blessed the school, the students and the staff.
The class of yr 3.2 participated in the Festa Frawli held by the Mġarr Local council. The students were awarded a certificate of participation.
Last Friday Mr Miceli awarded certificates to students who participated in the Basketball Sessions held after school. Several students took part and were awarded a certificate. Four students were also awarded a special trophy and a year subscription for basketball as being the best players. Here are some photos of the event.
The sessions of Aqrali Storja are now completed. These sessions were carried out in Maltese by a special teacher sent from the Literacy Unit. Here are some photos of the last session that took place on the 12th of June 2019.
On Monday 17th June, the school celebrated the occasion of the First Holy Communion of year 2 students. They came to school wearing their special dress and their parents were invited for the Holy Mass followed by refreshments. The parish priest of Attard celebrated the Holy Mass.
Following the reading sessions that took place at Attard Primary School, several teachers and kindergarten assistants took the initiative to work with the students to recreate the story using recycled material. The results were entered in a competition and Ms Ruth Tanti Mangion’s class won the national competition.
On Monday 3rd June all primary school and kindergarten students will be on half days. School will start as usual at 8:30 am. Dismissal will be as follows:
- Kindergarten at 12:00 pm (noon)
- Primary students at 12:15 pm
May we remind parents that from Monday 3rd June there will be Club 3 to 16 immediately after school.
Last Friday year 1 students visited San Anton Gardens for a Theatre in Education experience. They watched a play called The Happy Prince acted by specialised drama teachers. The students were involved by playing the part of the crowd in the story.
